Privacy Policy
How ahundredthings collects, uses, and protects your information — in plain language, with as little data as we can get away with.
Last updated June 1, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how ahundredthings ("ahundredthings," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit ahundredthings.com or get in touch with our studio. We are a design and engineering studio based in San Francisco and Las Vegas, building websites and apps for home-service and online businesses.
We have tried to write this in plain language. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Information We Collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. The information we hold falls into two buckets:
- Information you give us — when you email us, fill out a contact or project form, or otherwise reach out, we collect what you choose to share: typically your name, email address, company, and the details of your message or project.
- Information collected automatically — like most websites, our servers and analytics tools record basic technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and the pages you view.
We do not ask for sensitive data — such as government IDs, health information, or payment-card numbers — through this site.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above only for legitimate business purposes:
- To respond to your enquiries and discuss potential projects.
- To provide, maintain, and improve the website and our services.
- To understand how the site is used so we can make it faster and more useful.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to maintain our correspondence with you — and then delete or anonymize it. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be kept longer.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of the EEA and UK (under the GDPR) and California (under the CCPA/CPRA) have specific statutory rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at biz@ahundredthings.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls — to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Visitors
We operate from the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the site, you consent to that transfer.
Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our site may link to third-party websites — for example, our clients' projects or our social profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes will be made clear here. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
